The Town of Clarksburg is located in Berkshire County, just north of the City of North Adams and bordering Stamford, Vermont. It has a year-round population of approximately 1700 people. The town combines all of the benefits of rural living in an area full of scenic landscapes, with an excellent elementary school (K-8), sufficient land available for development, and direct access to the urban amenities of North Adams.
The zoning by-laws of Clarksburg have recently been totally revised, thereby creating three areas for industrial development. The town intends to aggressively promote and develop its newly created industrial lands, to relieve the presently basically residential tax burden.
