Sutton is a rural, residential community with much open space. Several farms still are active, producing sheep and breeding heifers as well as a great variety of vegetable for market. The town has three large lakes offering year-round recreation. Although the cost of educating each pupil is well below the state average, the quality of education delivered by the school is quite high.
Having just completed a $10 million school addition project, the facilities are the newest and most up-to-date available. Sutton is in a prime location for commuting to Worcester, Boston or Providence. With the opening of the Massachusetts Turnpike - Route 20, Route 146 Interchange scheduled for late in this decade, Sutton expects to be ripe for growth, both residential and commercial.
